Lineya Linen Scarf | storm blue & silver
Our Lineya Linen Collection is crafted from premium, hand woven linen; this light-weight cloth is gauzy and semi-sheer. Soft to the touch, the fabric has a beautiful texture and drape. Highlights in metallic zari add an element of sophistication. Our Lineya Collection is named after the earliest women linen workers in Ancient Egypt, some 4000 years ago.
Our linen yarn is sourced from India's first linen producers and hand woven by expert weavers in the villages of West Bengal. The fabric is woven by men on their home looms, while women carry out the multitide of pre- and post-loom activities. Any variations or irregularities are part of the design and inherent to the production process.
- Eco: hand made processes make this item is eco-friendly. Materials are natural and thus bio-degradable.
- Ethical: weaving is completed by a for-profit family-run company ensuring weavers get full-year employment and fair wages. Garments are stitched in our Delhi workshop where workers receive well above the minimum wage and enjoy flexible, safe and comfortable working conditions.
